Have a safe and Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

As the unofficial start to summer approaches this weekend, I thought it would be a great time to update you on the progress of our girls team.  We have spent a great deal of spring on fine tuning our basics on each event.  Now that we are beginning to train our new skills, we can definitely see how all the hard work and patience with basics has begun to pay off.  Casting on bars is getting cleaner.  Giants are showing great shape.  New kips are being mastered.  More girls are flipping on beam.  Dismounts are landing on their feet.  Tumbling is more aggressive. One back handsprings are turning into 2.  We are seeing new flipping and twisting elements.  All of this is due to the hard work and dedication of our athletes.  Thanks to all of our parents for allowing us to physically and mentally challenge your children.  I love this time of year and can’t wait to see what the summer will bring!  Have a great weekend and enjoy time with your families.

I’m touring the site. This is a great idea!

Welcome back Jenny!  Congrats on your college graduation!

Rope climb combines physical and mental challenge

Great job to the Tuesday boys Tumblegarten as all the boys overcame the strength and fear issues to climb at least to the top third of the rope.  The class is alot of fun for me, I hope the boys are enjoying it as well.  Its amazing to see their progress and how strong they are getting.

Healthy Snacks for Girls Optional Team

Many of you probably got the email from Sarah Jobe, but I thought this might be a good place for responses to her request for healthy snacks for the girls optional team each week.

She is volunteering to bring something the first week (of summer schedule), I’m volunteering watermelon one week, and Greta Talbot volunteered one week.

It seems Al’s grapes were a huge success.
