Level 4… Proud of your hard work!

I am so proud of my new Fantastic 4’s. They have been working hard at learning routines, new skills, etc. We’ve been doing a lot of strength to get in shape and flexibility so we can have beautiful split leaps for our floor routine. Girls keep up the hard work, put a smile on and have fun. You are Awesome!!!

Level 5 Beam…Coach Peggy

The girls have been working hard on getting their beam routines. I see so much progress in them. Toes are nicely pointed legs are straight. They just look beautiful. The cartwheels are coming along and the girls are always wanting to do more and put in the extra effort. I love the hard work ethic . I am very proud of you all!!!

Monday Night Tumblegarten

All the girls are doing really well. We are continueing to build upon our skills. We are doing handstand flat backs for level 1 and level 2 is doing handstand foward rolls. On bars both groups are close to making their chin up pullovers. Vault we are working on hitting the spring board with two feet. On beam level 1 and 2 are doing well. We are doing handstands (level 2) and teter totters (level 1). The girls are doing great can’t wait til next week!

Go West young man…

I am not very young anymore, but I am headed west. It is a family vacation to the Grand Canyon, I will be out of the gym the next two weeks. It has been a great summer so far and I am looking forward to recharging and coming back for even more fun. If all goes well I will be sending in a picture from the Canyon as we ride the donkeys to the bottom. Keep up the great work while I am gone and see you soon.   Allan

Level 5’s

This was another awesome week for the 5’s! We had a hard week of learning skills and strength, BUT, we also learned the Rachel Game…its almost as fun to watch them play! We are hoping to finish putting together our floor routine pattern on monday, practice it wednesday, and put it to music on thursday. Bars is going good, were still working on those kips but they’ll come when we get stronger! Beam and Vault are looking good too! Look for more next week! **Parents, as many of you know some of the girls are getting grips, please know not all of the girls need grips at this time. We know some of the girls want them, but, its best to wait until the coaches feel it would be in their best interest. And as always, if you have questions or concerns please ask. See you Monday!

Fantastic 4’s

The 4’s are off to a great start. They have been working hard learning the routines and making their new skills perfect. I’m proud of all the girls and the hard work they are putting in. We’ll be ready come meet season!!!

Tell me what you think???

Hey gang!  We are considering some alternative ways of getting some exercise with the optional girls this summer.  Swimming, running outside, biking?  No only will this be fun, but it will also reinforce the importance of fitness for life, not just gymnastics.  Let me know what you think!

Soccer Tumbling

WOW!! The girls are picking up the front handspring toss really quick! Its our 2sd week and we are already tossing the ball a bit…in a few weeks we will be outside putting our new skill to the test. And, the girls doing backhandspring are doing really well too! We’ve got some talented girls in this group. Keep working those skills at home!

whats up!!

i got to work with the new level 4s and they worked really hard and we had fun!

1st week of level 5

The level 5’s are full swing now and we are working really hard on increasing our strength and endurance to make learning new skills easier. On bars we are working on kips, kips, and more kips. Once we get more upper body strength this will get easier. Vault is looking good we are focusing on the heel drive over the table and having a fast run with big steps. Beam and floor we are working on skills and putting together dance routines. The endurance training (running) we are doing during conditioning will help to make these routines much easier once we start to tumble. The girls are working really hard and although strength may not be their favorite thing to do during practice it will make a huge difference because we are laying the foundation for our skills now as well as skills in the future (like level 6). Keep up the good work!!
