Schedule Change

The Level 5’s will practice from 11-2 Saturday May 29. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Please let us know if you will not be at practice.
Thanks!!

Level 5’s are on the move!

Watch out for the Level 5 Girls!! They have picked up momentum since State and are learning lots of new skills, perfecting old ones, and staying POSITIVE!!

We are working lots of up-hill drills on floor for back tumbling and the girls are seeing the reward. Many of them can back tuck up to 2 mats! We are also working on making our front handsprings POP off the floor more. On bars we are working long-hang pull-overs, fly-aways, kip cast kips, and clear-hips. On vault we have been working on a better run harder and faster on our toes. This has been hard work but its paying off. On beam we have begun to work back walk-over on all the beams as well as full turns. In dance they are working lots of leaps and turns trying to make them bigger and higher!

The girls are still working hard on their Level 5 skills so they won’t loose anything over the summer. These skills continue to improve as we build upon them.
GREAT JOB LADIES!! Keep up the hard work!

Las Vegas Cheer conference

I just returned from Las Vegas and the 1st Varsity Cheer Gym Owners conference.  It was very good, met some very nice people and shared many positives about what we do as Coaches and Owners.  Peter Vidmar, 1984 Olympic Gold Medal Gymnast, gave the opening, motivational talk.  He was excellent and got the conference started on a high energy, optimistic note.  As we begin our 2010/11 season I look forward to our growth in the cheer program and the positives our program provides for each of the athletes.  The season is full of promise and we thank all the cheer parents for allowing us a chance to work with your child and be a positive influence on their journey through life.  I am very proud of all our programs at GTCO, but the inherent Team concept of the Cheer squads, makes it one of the great programs for learning and gaining the tools necessary for a successful career later in life.

Welcome Julius Moreland

GTCO welcomes Julius Moreland to our staff.  Julius is a former GTCO gymnast, who comes back from Toledo and Dayton.  Julius will be working primarily in our Boys program, but also sharing his knowledge with the girls competitive team and classes.  Welcome back.

Sam Chamberlain makes JO All Around Finals

Congratulations to Sam Chamberlain on his qualifying to the level 10 National All around finals.  He has had a great year and we look forward to many more successes in his future.
